Meet Our Staff
Pam Weech, Hospital Manager
Pam has managed the animal hospital since she and Dr. Weech bought the practice in 1983. She graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School in Paducah, Ky in 1972, then took computer and accounting classes at Paducah Community College. She worked for Petter Supply Company for 7 years until she met Dr. Weech. They were married in 1979 and eventually moved to Louisville, KY. Pam worked for another wholesale supply company and an oil company while living in Louisville. She worked as a sales secretary and as purchasing controller within these companies which granted her much expericence in the operations of business. Within the animal hospital, Pam's duties include bookkeeping, ordering supplies, overseeing all staff, procedures management, and public relations. Within the community, Pam is a founding board member, past and current president of Galesburg Christian School Assoc., Inc. and member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoys interacting with her 3 grown daughters and 4 young grandchildren.
Marla Bell, Head Receptionist, Veterinary Assistant
Marla originally worked here from October 1995 to July 1997, while attending Carl Sandburg College and earning an Associate of Science. She graduated with a Bachelor in Animal Science from the University of Illinois in 2000. Since her return, Marla has served as receptionist and veterinary assistant. Marla's responsibilities include serving clients, rotating as a veterinary assistant, overseeing specialized billing and monitoring controlled drug logs. She has a cat named Taco Bell.
Nancy Yeutson, Veterinary Technician, Receptionist
Nancy has been with Galesburg Animal Hospital since April 2000. She started as a kennel attendant at a very early age and has progressed to serve as an exam room assistant and lab technician.
She has an associate's degree in early education. Nancy is married to Johan and they have two young boys. She and her husband raise goats, chickens, pigs and ducks. They enjoy growing organic vegetables. Johan works for the railroad and both attend The First Church of Nazarene. Nancy has two dogs. One is a rescue with only 3 legs.
Nacole Hawk, Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist
Nacole joined our team in the fall of 2015. She serves as veterinary assistant and receptionist. Nacole has 2 dogs, Stryker, a German Shepherd and Kronos, a Staffordshire Terrier, and a cat, Hemi and a bearded dragon, Harley.
Vanessa Sundell, Receptionist
Vanessa joined us in 2016 as full time receptionist. Her duties include greeting you, preparing reminder postcards. Vanessa has 2 dogs at home. She and her husband, Todd have 3 daughers and are active in their church, Calvary Assembly of God.
Lindsay Wulf, Certified Professional Groomer
Lindsay grew up in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. She and her husband, Gene, married since August 2012, have 2 farms and raise crops and livestock, including cows, sheep, goats, chickens and pigs. Together, they have 4 dogs and 1 cat. They are both members of Calvary Assembly Church of God. Lindsay is passionate about 3 things, the animals in her care, plants surrounding her, and her love of Jesus is evident.
Lindsay received her grooming certificate from Penn Foster and is experienced in grooming all breeds and cats. Extra pampering services include de-shedding treatments, relaxing blueberry facials, teeth brushing and de-matting and scissoring.
Miranda King, Kennel Manager
Miranda has been on staff as kennel attendant since early 2009. During the summer of 2015, she was promoted to Kennel Manager. She oversees scheduling and the work done by other kennel care takers.
Miranda graduated from the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers where she took a special interest in training police dogs. This is fitting since her husband, Keith is a county sheriff deputy. She owns a German Shepherd, Armor, who is a Certified Narcotic Detection Dog. Miranda also enjoys her many birds and reptiles.
Amanda Morris, Kennel Attendant
Amanda joined the practice in March of 2010 as a part time kennel attendant. When not taking care of pets at the animal hospital, she works at Saint Mary's Emergency Room as a CNA. Amanda lives in Rio with her husband, Ed, and their numerous pets, including their two beagles, Rusty and Maggie. Amanda and Ed have two little boys.
Amanda Smith, Veterinary Assistant
Amanda began as a part time kennel attendant in 2016. She is now one of our full time veterinary assistants and assists in caring for pets in the hospital or kennel. Amanda loves being with the animals and has 3 dogs and 5 cats of her own.
Jennefer Brandenburg, Veterinary Technician, Receptionist
Jennefer has been with Galesburg Animal Hospital since May 2003. She comes in on a part time basis since becoming a mom recently. But, Jen served as full time head veterinary technician here for 12 years. She lives on a farm in Altona with her husband, Wesley. She has extensive experience in raising and training horses and coonhounds. She is a member of The Appaloosa Horse Club and The International Arabian Horse Association. Jen owns several Blue Tick Coonhounds.
